Multiplication vs. Addition

John 12:24 / Matthew 13:23 4 min

Unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds.

John 12:24 / Matthew 13:23

Addition grows your business. Multiplication grows your impact. Addition means you personally do more. Multiplication means you build systems and develop people that produce results beyond what you could generate alone.

Jesus' metaphor is stark: the seed has to be released before it multiplies. Entrepreneurs who hold everything tightly never multiply. They grow incrementally, hit a ceiling, and burn out.

Multiplication in business means documenting what works so others can replicate it, training team members to lead, delegating authority not just tasks, and creating structures that scale without depending on you.

The goal is a business that runs without requiring you for every function. That kind of business can go further, serve more people, and outlast your own energy.
