Some Christian entrepreneurs carry an unspoken guilt about profit. This is a false dichotomy that Scripture doesn't support.
The Proverbs 31 woman is celebrated in Scripture for being profitable. She buys fields, plants vineyards, sells goods, and makes money. Her profitability is presented as evidence of wisdom and diligence.
The Parable of the Talents is direct: the servants who multiplied what they were given were praised. The one who buried his talent out of fear was rebuked. God expects a return on what He invests in you.
Profit funds mission. A profitable business can give more, hire more, serve more, and invest more in Kingdom work. Stewarding it well is an act of faithfulness.
