Generosity is not in tension with sound business — in God's economy, it's a growth principle. A farmer who hoards seed has nothing to plant. A farmer who sows broadly reaps broadly.
This is not the prosperity gospel. The return on generosity is not always financial and not always immediate. But those who give generously operate under a different kind of provision.
For entrepreneurs, strategic generosity might look like free resources that build trust, serving a nonprofit at a reduced rate, or giving away knowledge freely.
The cheerful qualifier in 2 Corinthians 9:7 matters. Reluctant giving is not the same as joyful giving that flows from abundance-thinking. The posture shapes the outcome.
