Scripture doesn't categorically prohibit debt — but it treats it with serious caution. The word slave is not hyperbole. Debt limits your options, constrains your generosity, and transfers control of your decisions to creditors.
A business with high debt must prioritize debt service over opportunity. It can't afford to take the right risk, serve the right client, or wait for the right moment.
