Jesus placed reconciliation above religious practice. If there's unresolved conflict in your business — with a partner, employee, client, or vendor — it matters to God and affects your effectiveness.
The sequence in Matthew 5 is important: you're the one who goes first. Not because you're wrong — but because you're the one who remembered the conflict, which means you have the opportunity to resolve it.
In business, unresolved conflict is expensive. It creates tension that everyone feels, slows decision-making, and eventually forces a rupture.
Proverbs 15:1: you control the temperature of a hard conversation with your tone. A calm, clear, respectful response is almost always more effective than one driven by emotion.
