Identifying Your God-Given Assignment

Ephesians 2:10 / Jeremiah 29:11 5 min

For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

Ephesians 2:10 / Jeremiah 29:11

Your business is not an accident. Ephesians 2:10 is bold: before you were born, God had works prepared for you to walk in. Your skills, your industry, your relationships, your timing — none of it is random.

This doesn't mean everything will be easy or that you'll always feel certain. Jeremiah 29:11 was written to people in exile — people whose circumstances looked like anything but a good plan. The hope wasn't based on their situation; it was based on God's character.

Assignment clarity comes through three sources: your deep God-given desires (Psalm 37:4), your demonstrated gifts (Romans 12:6-8), and the doors that open when you apply them faithfully.

Stop waiting for perfect clarity before you move. Move with what you know, stay sensitive to redirection, and trust that the God who prepared the works also prepared you for them.
